The Gunn Titans will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wilcox Chargers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Wednesday, Gunn had to suffer through a rough 61-30 loss at the hands of Mountain View. While losing is never fun, Gunn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 787th, while Mountain View is ranked 298th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-27, which was the final score in Wilcox's tilt against Milpitas on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wilcox in their matchups with Milpitas: they've now lost three in a row.
Gunn has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Wilcox, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.
Gunn took their win against Wilcox in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 52-28. Will Gunn repeat their success, or does Wilcox have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
