On Friday, Adrian were out to avenge their 7-40 loss to New Ulm Cathedral from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Adrian were completely outmatched, falling 7-43 to New Ulm Cathedral. The state rankings had actually given Adrian a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The defeat dropped Adrian's record to 1-5. The win bumped New Ulm Cathedral's record up to 2-3.
Next week Adrian take on Murray County Central at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest. As for New Ulm Cathedral, they will face off against Wabasso. Unlike New Ulm Cathedral, Wabasso will be limping in after taking a loss.
