The Orcutt Academy Spartans will take on the Nipomo Titans at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Orcutt Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Orcutt Academy is headed into the  match after thoroughly thrashing Cabrillo: they outscored them in every quarter. Orcutt Academy blew past Cabrillo 48-22 on Tuesday. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  contests by 21  points or more this season.

  Elizabeth Johnson was  her usual excellent self,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 23  points and nine  boards. The  game was  her 17th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Ashley Barrientos, who  went 5 of 12 en route to 13  points.
 Meanwhile, Nipomo lost to Santa Ynez at home  by a   53-34 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 548th, while the Pirates are ranked 248th).
 Nipomo's loss was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Orcutt Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
