Gilbert had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Humboldt Wildcats with a sharp 8-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Gilbert's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Humboldt, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
