The Carson Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 56-19 defeat at the hands of West. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Carson has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Carson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Monica Hayden. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with six rebounds.
Carson's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for West, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Carson will take on Dominguez in a holiday battle at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Dominguez will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1056th, while Carson is ranked 487th). West will be home for the holidays to greet South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
