Brockway has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brockway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 467th, while DuBois Central Catholic is ranked 156th).
Last Friday, Brockway came up short against Kane and fell 41-30.
Despite the defeat, Brockway saw an underclassman step up: Sophia Schmader dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Schmader hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Meanwhile, DuBois Central Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Redbank Valley by a score of 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss DuBois Central Catholic has suffered yet this season.
Brockway has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for DuBois Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Brockway was taken down by DuBois Central Catholic 60-30 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Brockway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
