Sumter County and Hardaway are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2017, but likely not for long. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sumter County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
Sumter County was handed a 14-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Jordan 11-10. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Red Jackets: they've now won eight in a row.
Tadaisha Aldridge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

Meanwhile, Hardaway fell victim to Calvary Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Knights. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hardaway's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Sumter County, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sumter County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Hardaway struggles in that department as they've averaged .416. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sumter County was able to grind out a solid win over Hardaway in their previous matchup back in September, winning 6-2. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
