The Seward Bluejays will head out on the road to take on the York Dukes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seward will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Friday, Seward took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Blair. The Bluejays pushed the score to 42-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for Kayson Salyer, who threw for 97 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Jack Vyhnalek was in the mix as well, providing Seward with three scores.
Seward's run defense was locked in: Blair could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Deklan Lindau for the heroic effort on defense: he. Seward's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 5.05 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 9.97 on average over their last five games.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Vyhnalek, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, York sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-16 victory over Northwest on Friday.
Seward better keep an eye on Emmitt Dirks. He was instrumental in York's win, rushing for 93 yards on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 119 yards on 12 of 17 attempts.
Seward's record is now 5-2. As for York, their record now sits at an identical 5-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Seward has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like York struggles in that department as they've been averaging 174 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Seward's way against York in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Seward made off with a 26-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
