The Carmel Padres's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Soledad by a score of 2-1. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carmel in their matchups with Soledad: they've now lost four in a row.

Carmel has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-2 record this season. As for Soledad, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3-2.
Carmel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Soledad, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Seaside at 5:45 p.m. Seaside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 17 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
