On Saturday, Calexico humbled Desert Hot Springs with a 57-24 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Calexico.
Calexico found their leader in underclassman Dany Carreon, who scored 18 points. The matchup was Carreon's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Duffy, who scored ten points.
Calexico has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Desert Hot Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calexico will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Southwest EC at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Southwest EC has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18. Desert Hot Springs and Coachella Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
