The Christian Brothers Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Jesuit Marauders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Christian Brothers 3.4, Jesuit 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Christian Brothers needed a bit of extra time to put away Ponderosa. They won by a run and slipped past the Bruins 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won three in a row.

Johnathan Otto made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Otto wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mikey Horan, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Jesuit had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-1 win. That looming 10-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Marauders yet this season.
Like Christian Brothers, Jesuit also got a great game from a two-way player: Eric Erdmann. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave Erdmann a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Cade Colombara was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Austin Norquist was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Jesuit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.4.
Christian Brothers' record is now 11-5. As for Jesuit, their record now sits at 9-1.
Christian Brothers skirted past Jesuit 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Will Christian Brothers repeat their success, or does Jesuit has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
