Blaine won the last time they faced Andover and Jameson Niska did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bengals enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over the Huskies on Wednesday for which the team can thank Niska, who rushed for 255 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 134 yards on six of 14 attempts. He is becoming a predictor of Blaine's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Andover's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Mapson, who rushed for 120 yards and one score, and also threw for 132 yards and one touchdown.

Blaine pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points over those games. As for Andover, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Blaine will welcome Moorhead at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bengals will be up against the Spuds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Andover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
