Emery/Weiner had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Veritas Academy 52-22 on the road. The result was nothing new for Emery/Weiner, who have now won nine matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Bennett Grossman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 148 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 83 yards and four touchdowns. Grossman is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Zac Laviage also helped out as he racked up 149 rushing yards.
The win was the tenth in a row for Emery/Weiner, bringing their record for this year to 11-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.9 points. As for Veritas Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
