Hamilton Heights is 0-3 against Noblesville since April of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Millers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Hamilton Heights turned things around against Benton Central on Friday. They came out on top against the Bison by a score of 4-1.
Dillion Pitts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Cy Mason was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Hall, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Noblesville put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Tri-West Hendricks. The Millers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bruins, sneaking past 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Millers have posted since May 1st.
Rhett Hostetler tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Noblesville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Riggs, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Ethan Clark also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Noblesville's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Hamilton Heights, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hamilton Heights has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Noblesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
