The Forest Lake Christian Falcons's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 39-31 win over Encina Prep. That's another feather in the cap for Forest Lake Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Julia Nguyen, who dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Wilson, who scored six points along with three steals.
Encina Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Tianna Davis and Maraia Rokosiga. Davis scored 12 points, while Rokosiga scored ten points.
Forest Lake Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Encina Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Forest Lake Christian will be playing at home against Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Encina Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
