It was a good run, but the Sunny Hills Lancers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by Buena Park 69-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sunny Hills has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Sunny Hills still got an impressive performance from Erin Choi, who scored 14 points.
Sunny Hills struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Buena Park pulled down 29 offensive rebounds.
It was another big night for Alana White, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds for Buena Park. White hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Bella Harmon, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and seven assists.
Sunny Hills' loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9. As for Buena Park, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunny Hills will take on Troy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Buena Park, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ontario Christian at 7:00 p.m. Ontario Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
