Maywood CES has gone a perfect 3-0 against Fremont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wolfpack will take on the Pathfinders at 3:00 p.m. Maywood CES is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Maywood CES barely beat Marquez the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolfpack put the hurt on the Gladiators with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Brian Aguirre and David Aguirre did most of the damage at the plate: Brian went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while David went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave Brian a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Luis Cruz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Fremont had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Eagle Rock on Tuesday.
James Harris was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Isaiah Velez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Adrian Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Fremont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagle Rock only posted a batting average of .243.
Fremont is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Maywood CES, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.
Maywood CES was able to grind out a solid victory over Fremont in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-3. Will the Wolfpack repeat their success, or do the Pathfinders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
