Softball Recap: Pike County Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Pike County won the last time they faced Jackson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates never let the Red Devils get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Pike County pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Jackson, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.

Pike County has already played their next game, a 10-9 win against Union Grove on the 10th. Hopefully Jackson paid attention to the Pirates' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
