Riverside Prep waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Hesperia Christian Patriots as they made off with  an  18-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Silver Knights, who have now won seven contests by nine  runs or more  so far this season.
 Trent Bourgeois made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Those  eight  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other pitching news,  Thomas Salazar looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Adrian Jorge Jr., who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Trevor Thompson was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 Riverside Prep  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .580. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hesperia Christian only posted  an  OBP of  .323.
Riverside Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Hesperia Christian, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-7.
Riverside Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
