Camarillo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Christa Contreras, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, and Emerson Martin who scored 16 points. Contreras has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Rivera, who scored five points along with two steals.
Ventura pushed their record up to 25-4 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Camarillo, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-8.
