Narbonne has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the San Pedro Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Narbonne suffered their biggest loss since November 13, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 55-31 loss to Carson might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, San Pedro unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-55 walloping at the hands of Rolling Hills Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, San Pedro had strong showings from Noelani Raigans, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Shalia Coleman, who scored 19 points. Raigans is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Maia Wooldridge, who scored ten points.
Narbonne has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for San Pedro, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Things could have been worse for Narbonne, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-36 loss to San Pedro in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Coleman, who scored 26 points along with two steals and two blocks. Now that Narbonne knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
