Baseball Recap: Sacramento Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sacramento made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Elite, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Sacramento Dragons never let the Elite Eagles get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Tuesday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 11 runs or more this season.

The win (which was Sacramento's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Elite, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Sacramento will face off against Esparto at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sacramento knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Esparto likes a good challenge. As for Elite, they will venture away from home to square off against Swett at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Elite has given up an average of 16 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
