Epping has gone a perfect 10-0 against Nute recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Epping is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Epping is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since June 11, 2025 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Portsmouth Christian Academy 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Seth Lecuyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Kukesh, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. William Ciriello was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Nute ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Concord Christian, sneaking past 8-7. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.
Like Epping, Nute also got a great game from a two-way player: Brody Leeman. On the mound, Leeman pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Cooper Janis pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. Leeman is becoming a predictor of Nute's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 4-6 when he doesn't). At bat, Leeman went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Janis went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Brandon Bilodeau was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Nute is undefeated when Bilodeau posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise.
Nute kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Epping's record now sits at 12-5. As for Nute, their record is now 6-7.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Epping has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Nute struggles in that department as they've averaged .460. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Epping got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April against Nute by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
