The Great Mills Hornets entered their tilt with the Lackey Chargers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Great Mills enjoyed a cozy 39-20 win over Lackey on Friday. For Great Mills, this counts as revenge for the 49-31 loss Lackey walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
It was another big night for A'Naija Bush, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samara Lloyd, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Great Mills' win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Lackey, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-4 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Mills will challenge Wilde Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Wilde Lake comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lackey, they will head out on the road to face off against Westlake at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
