Foothill won the last time they faced Mira Monte and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Trojans blew past the Lions 12-5. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Joaquin Carrillo was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Ramon Diaz was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Marcos Carbajal, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Foothill  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .545. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Foothill pushed their record up to 7-5 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mira Monte,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will host Chavez  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mira Monte, they will be playing at home against Golden Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
