The High Tech SD Storm are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Apache Junction Prospectors at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. High Tech SD will be strutting in after a win while Apache Junction will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, the stars were shining brightly for High Tech SD in a 48-32 win over Holtville. Given High Tech SD's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while Holtville is ranked 992nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
High Tech SD's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Vivianna Cravens, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Emma LaSalle, who scored 15 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. LaSalle is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kylei Hayward, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Apache Junction, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a 51-34 bruising from Crismon two weeks ago.
High Tech SD is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Apache Junction, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
