The Mid Valley Spartans waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Forest City 42-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mid Valley also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Mid Valley to victory were Chiara Zavislak and Krista Cortazar. Zavislak scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Cortazar dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Zavislak is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Elise Larson, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Mid Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Forest City, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Mid Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-37 defeat vs. Riverside on the 9th. Forest City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
