Bishop is 2-8 against Francis Parker since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Bishop's is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Bishop's will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Classical Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Caimans 8-6.

Clyde Kates made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Kates wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Henry Armstrong, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another was Ian Browne, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop's kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Classical Academy only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Francis Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 13-10 to Kearny.
Logan Manalong stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Perry, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Bishop's win bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Francis Parker, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1.
