Meanwhile, Lakewood faced Valor Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Tigers took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Lakewood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Columbine has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Lakewood, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Columbine's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Columbine might still be hurting after the 15-8 defeat they got from Lakewood when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the Rebels have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
