Kennedy extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 4-10-1. They lost 25-12 to the Pueblo East Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-12 on Saturday.

Alexiah Lunas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Genesis Lujan, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
As for Pueblo East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 19-6).
On Pueblo East's side, Bella Baca made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. What's more, Baca posted two strikeouts, the most she's had over her last four contests. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Karli Valdez was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Clara Thompson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Coming up, Kennedy will face off against Peak to Peak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Commanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pumas have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Pueblo East, they will take on Pueblo South at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.2 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
