Hillgrove owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Woodstock Wolverines. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.

Hillgrove pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Woodstock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillgrove will head out to face off against Campbell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Woodstock, they are taking a road trip to square off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
