 Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They fell just short of Capuchino by a score of  3-2.
  Rallin Covey was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed six innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Luka Bonifacio was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-10-1. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. King's Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.9  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sacred Heart Prep struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.6. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 King's Academy couldn't quite finish off Sacred Heart Prep in their previous meeting  back in April of 2022 and fell  11-9. Thankfully for King's Academy,  Nolan Wilbur (who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double) won't be suiting up this time.
