The Burroughs Bears had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over King Kekaulike. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Burroughs also won the last time the pair played on Thursday.
Burroughs was led to victory by Ashley Martin and Claire Hackney. Martin scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals, while Hackney scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Valentina Morales, who scored 4 points along with 13 rebounds.
Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for King Kekaulike, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Burroughs is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Serra at 8:45 p.m. on November 22nd. King Kekaulike will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lahainaluna at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
