The Juniata Valley Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northern Bedford County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Juniata Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
Juniata Valley struggled with assists on Monday (Williamsburg had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Juniata Valley took a serious blow against Williamsburg, falling 63-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Juniata Valley has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Juniata Valley had strong showings from Maddie Hopsicker, who scored 11 points along with two steals, and Kassidy Watson, who scored nine points. Hopsicker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.
Juniata Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Northern Bedford County gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 51-24 victory over Moshannon Valley at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-4.
Juniata Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Northern Bedford County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
