Penns Valley Area put the hurt on Juniata with a sharp 51-29 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Penns Valley Area.
Penns Valley Area was led to victory by Scotty Dinges and Ellie Romig. Dinges scored 16 points along with five steals, while Romig scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Dinges hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydnie Dalton, who scored four points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Juniata still got an impressive performance from Haley Mummah, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Penns Valley Area has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Juniata, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Penns Valley Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Tyrone at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Penns Valley Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Juniata, they will head out on the road to challenge Millersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Millersburg is coming into the game with four straight wins at home, so Juniata is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
