Baseball Game Preview: Pasadena Bulldogs vs. Muir Mustangs

Pasadena has gone 8-2 against Muir recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Mustangs at 3:45 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Pasadena sitting on five straight wins and Muir on nine.

While Pasadena's victory against Hoover wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tornados 4-2.

Dylan Derosier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Derosier wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Muir got themselves on the board against Glendale on Thursday, but Glendale never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Dynamiters. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

Eduardo Sosa was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sergio Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Pasadena's record now sits at 8-10. As for Muir, their record is now 12-6.

Pasadena got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Muir by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
