The Franklin Panthers won the last time they faced the Bravo Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Franklin walked away with a 42-33 victory over the Knights. Given Franklin's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Knights are ranked 779th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashley Medina continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Franklin's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Toni Vizcaino, who scored eight points.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Bravo, they dropped their record down to 9-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Mules at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. Wilson is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Bravo, they will head out on the road to square off against the Barristers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
