High school basketball: Carter Bryant, Zoom Diallo and Jovani Ruff among impact transfers for 2023-24

Robert Wright III, James Brown and Aiden Sherrell are among other big name prospects on the move.

Elite high school basketball programs are reloading once again this offseason through the prep version of the transfer portal with AZ Compass Prep (Chandler, Ariz.), Link Academy (Branson, Mo.), Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.) and Southern California Academy (Castaic, Calif.) among the most active.

Centennial (Corona, Calif.) may have made the biggest individual splash in the off-season as the Huskies added Carter Bryant, an Arizona commit who is regarded as the No. 4 prospect in the Class of 2024.

Other top 50 prospects on the move include:

* Zoom Diallo, the No. 9 prospect in the Class of 2024 headed to Prolific Prep.

* Jovani Ruff, the No. 19 prospect in the Class of 2025 headed to Southern California Academy.

* Robert Wright III, the No. 45 prospect in the Class of 2024 headed to Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.).

* James Brown, the No. 47 prospect in the Class of 2024 headed to Link Academy.

MaxPreps Washington Player of the Year averaged 20 points, 5.5 assists and 4.4 rebounds to guide the Vikings to their second straight state title in 2022-23.

Younger brother of 2023 McDonald's All-American Selection Jeremy Fears averaged 16.3 points per contest during his sophomore season.

After a strong junior campaign for Huntington Prep, the No. 77 prospect in the Class of 2024 will join the Dragons for his senior year.

The No. 51 prospect in the Class of 2024 will look to replace the production of high-major graduating big men Yves Missi and Michael Nwoko for the Crew next season.

The son of basketball hall of famer Dominique Wilkins is carving his own path on the hardwood after a breakout sophomore campaign.

MaxPreps Junior All-America selection averaged 23.1 points, 4.9 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals to guide the Saints to the Class 4A state title game.

Ruff is regarded as one of the top rising juniors in the nation, currently ranked No. 19 in the Class of 2025 according to 247Sports.
