This season hasn't been kind to the Paradise Adventist Academy Cougars, who are still winless after their seventh match. They took a serious blow against Loyalton on Tuesday, falling 63-23. Paradise Adventist Academy has not had much luck with Loyalton recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Loyalton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Holland, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Holland hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Petterson, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Paradise Adventist Academy dropped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Loyalton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paradise Adventist Academy will take on Westwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loyalton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plumas Charter at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Plumas Charter is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
