The Susquehannock Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Eastern York by a score of 44-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Susquehannock in their matchups with Eastern York: they've now lost six in a row.
Susquehannock's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elena Snyder, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Georgie Snyder, who scored eight points.
Susquehannock's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Eastern York, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.
Susquehannock and York Catholic will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. York Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Susquehannock in Pennsylvania (York Catholic is ranked 129th, while Susquehannock is ranked 421st). Eastern York will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Spring Grove at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Spring Grove comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
