When it comes to explaining why Big Sandy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Malijah Francis. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 5 assists. Ka'myrie Fountain was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 assists.
It was another big night for Jace Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds for Union Grove. That makes it three consecutive games in which Roberts has scored at least 25% of Union Grove's points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Laake, who scored 18 points along with five assists.
Big Sandy bumped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Union Grove, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.
