It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but the Franklin Wildcats ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 49-48 victory over Ross. The victory was nothing new for Franklin as they're now sitting on three straight.
Franklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lincoln Clark, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Clark continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Kai Cook was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.
Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Ross, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Franklin will be playing at home against Brookville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ross, they will head out on the road to challenge East Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
