The Madera Coyotes lost against the Bullard Knights back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Madera ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-32 walloping at the hands of Bullard. Madera has not had much luck with Bullard recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Bullard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sanai Herod out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Herod has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Caris Williams, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Madera dropped their record down to 14-12 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bullard, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
Madera will be playing in front of their home fans against San Joaquin Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in San Joaquin Memorial's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Bullard, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Righetti at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Bullard is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season.
