Baseball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of the Kern Valley Broncs by a score of 11-10.

Xadrian Camacho and CARLOS CABRERA did some serious damage despite the final result: Camacho scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while CABRERA scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. CABRERA has become a key player for Riverdale: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise. ALEJANDRO SOLORIO was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Kern Valley, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Riverdale is taking a road trip to challenge Fresno Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Kern Valley, they will take on Mira Monte in a tournament on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Broncs surely won't give up without a fight.
