Oakmont lost to Granite Bay back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Oakmont Vikings were the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over the Granite Bay Grizzlies. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Cooper Kunis was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Wyatt Pennman also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The victory (which was Oakmont's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Granite Bay, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Oakmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Roseville on the 7th. As for Granite Bay, they have also already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Franklin on the 5th.
