Baseball Recap: Creekside Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Abundant Life Christian Academy

Creekside Christian Academy never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over the Abundant Life Christian Academy Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Tyler Keith made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.

In other pitching news, Carter Mcginnis looked comfortable as he scored three runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, he also racked up zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

Back at the plate, Brady Mccadden and Bryce Mccadden did most of the damage at the plate: Brady scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while Bryce scored four runs and stole one base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Bryce a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Beau Fleming, who scored two runs and stole one base while going 1-for-2.

Creekside Christian Academy's record is now 2-0. As for Abundant Life Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creekside Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Abundant Life Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Skipstone Academy on February 27th.
