The Pacifica Christian/Orange County Tritons can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Capistrano Valley Christian with a 51-47 victory. The victory was just what Pacifica Christian/Orange County needed coming off of a 60-40 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Caylie Villagrana, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Vivian Villagrana was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Pacifica Christian/Orange County's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.
Pacifica Christian/Orange County will be playing at home against the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Orangewood Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tritons in California (the Spartans are ranked 29th, while the Tritons are ranked 127th). Capistrano Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
