You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Cannon on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Covenant Day Lions out of the water with a 77-37 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cannon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khloe Thompson, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Drayton, who went 7 for 10 en route to 18 points and six rebounds.

Cannon was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Covenant Day's loss came despite strong showings from Kaitlyn Allen and Charlotte Hall. Allen went 9 of 13 on her way to 18 points and eight boards, while Hall posted six points.

Cannon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Covenant Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.
