Metter had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over Claxton. Considering Metter has won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Metter's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Claxton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Metter will host Bowdon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Claxton, they will head out to face off against Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
