Softball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Victorious

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder hadn't done well against Arlington recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Arlington 7-6. While Logan View/Scribner-Snyder didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Marah Fischer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits. The game marked her first with multiple earned runs this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Avah Ruwe, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maryn Wragge, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's record is now 4-1. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will face off against Yutan-Mead at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arlington, they will challenge Blue River at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington's pitchers better be ready for this one: Blue River has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
